Career

Joined as a Demonstrator at the MG Science Institute, Ahmedabad from 1956 to 1959. In 1959, as a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Gujarat University. And in 1963 the reader became professor in the same institution in 1975. During the period from 1971 to 1990, he also took over the position of Chemistry Chairman of Gujarat University. Research

Shri Desai undertook extensive research in the field of metallic sludge, analytical chemistry and electrical chemistry. As a result, more than 215 research articles have been published in national and international science magazines. As a result of his hectic research, in 1974, Gujarat University gave him DSC. Degree has been awarded. He is the only researcher to get this type of degree from the University.
