Unique Sacrifice for Environmental Protection *

On June 5 we celebrate World Environment Day; But this day does not get true inspiration in our mind. Because it does not involve any inspirational event in history. There are some procession, dharna, demonstration, speech on this day; But it does not affect the general public's mind. On the other hand, in the history of India, an incident occurred on 5 September 1730, which can not be compared in the world.

People from Bishnoi community live in Rajasthan and many other areas of India. His Guru Jambheshwar ji had given 29 followers like his followers not to cut green trees, do not kill animals and do not mess with water. Due to these 20 + 9 rules, their disciple is called Bishnoi.

Being an environmental lover, animals and birds fall in fearlessly in their villages. In 1730, these important moments of examination in front of these environment-lovers had passed, by passing them, he immortalized himself in world history.

In 1730 AD, Jodhpur King Ajay Singh was required to lime in his castle for construction work and fuel to cook it. On their orders hundreds of loggers along with the soldiers started cutting banyan trees in nearby villages Khahedali.

As soon as this news came to the Bishnois living in the area, they started protesting against it. When soldiers do not believe, hundreds of villagers led by a courageous woman 'Emirti Devi'; Including children and older men and women; The trees were knocked down. He told the soldiers that after cutting their body a green tree will be cut.

What was the effect of these things on the soldiers? They were bound by the vow, then the villagers from the creed Therefore, along with trees, the members of the villagers also fall and fall on the ground. At first, the Veerangana 'Emirti Devi' became the brutal attack of the axes and she became the first woman in the world to give life to the tree.

The villagers, enthusiastic from this sacrifice, have been sticking to the trees with full force. In the 20th century, in the Garhwal (Uttarakhand), Gaura Devi, Chandiprasad Bhatt and Sunderlal Bahuguna carried out the 'Chipko Movement' for the protection of trees, its inspiration was Imtri Devi.

The sacrifice that started on Bhadrapad Shukla 10 (5th September, 1730) continued for 27 days. During this 363 people sacrificed their lives. Among them, there were 69 women, including three daughters of Imti Devi. Eventually, the King himself came and apologized and banned cutting of green trees. The villagers had no hatred for him, he forgave the king.

In the memory of that historic event, there is a big fair 'Bhadrapad Shukla 10'. Rajasthan Government has started 'Amrita Devi Bishnoi Memorial Award' for the forest, wildlife and environment protection and the Center has given 'Amrita Devi Bishnoi Award'. This sacrifice is an unprecedented event in world history. Therefore this date (Bhadrapad Shukla 10 or 5 September) is to be the real 'World Environment Day'. .......................... http://hardinpavan.blogspot.in/search/label/33%20-%20%20%20%%20Week ? m = 0 Birth

Goddess of Bhils, Balaswar Dayal *

India is a huge country. Diversity is seen everywhere. People from the city to the villages, the mountains, the forests and the caves dwell. A large number of people of Bhal tribe are settled on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Shri Baleshwar Dayal (Mama) earned a reputation as a deity among these devotees of Maharana Pratap with his service and dedication.

Mama ji was born on September 5, 1906 in Village Nevadi (District Etawah, UP). Because of his interest in the service work, the destiny brought him to Madhya Pradesh and then he continued working among the Bhils throughout his life. In 1937, he laid the foundation of the 'Bamania Ashram' in Jhabua district and got rid of the illusions in the Bhils. Soon the landlords, Mahajan and Raja got angry with them and stopped them in jail; But with the tortures there, their resolutions became firm.

After some time, a Seth influenced him and gave him the upper floor of his house without rent in 'Thandla'. Here Mama ji made the hostel. Gradually, the confidence of the local people started to rise. After the fierce famine of 1937, Christian missionaries came there for relief work; But his interest in service was low and there was more in convergence. Seeing this, Mama ji got the name of the Shankaracharya of Puri with the consent of the people to convert the Bhils to Janeu. Some conservative Hindu institutions opposed it; But Mama ji knew the real condition of that area well. So they are engaged in this work. Thereby, there was a lot of restriction on converting.

Slowly their discussion started to be everywhere. Seth Jugalkishore Birla built a magnificent Ram temple on the hill near Barmaniya station. Even today, he is looked after by his family members. The missionaries were to build churches there; But Mama ji failed her conspiracy.

Mama ji was also associated with Arya Samaj and Socialist Party. Leaders like Subhash Chandra Bose, Acharya Narendra Dev, Jaiprakash Narayan, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Chaudhary Charan Singh, George Fernandes used to come in his ashram; But Mama ji gave priority to service work rather than politics.

Mama ji was born in a prosperous family; But when he accepted the fast of service, then he started living in the middle of the nest. They also used to eat chana, barley and churni flour flour bread with them. Mama Ji edited the magazine 'Gobar' published by Ashram for six years. His death took place in the ashram on December 26, 1998.

After the death of Mama ji, the statue was established by making her tomb in the ashram itself. The then food minister Sharad Yadav and railway minister Nitish Kumar came there during their unveiling. Bhal Mama ji of adjacent districts consider the god to be equal and even today the first crop of the year is presented to the Ashram.

Three times a year there is a convention, where thousands of people gather and pay homage to Mama ji. Many students studying at the Bamania Ashram are in high government and private services. Their eyes serve the memory of 'Mama ji' and they become tears. .................................... http://hardinpavan.blogspot.in/search/label/ 33% 20-% 20 September% 20 First% 20 weeks?
