The main task of Contemporary Theory of Knowledge is to sketch the logical generalizations of contemporary Western epistemology and to justify direct realism. Western philosophy has a general view that a belief can only be through another belief or another part of the faith can be defended or proved. The external world or perception itself can not directly justify a belief or prove that a belief can be justified or justified when the external world or perception is transformed into the subject of knowledge. This view is called "belief hypothesis." All the theories that acknowledge this hypothesis are called belief theories, such as fundamentalism and coherence. Those who deny this hypothesis are called non-belief theories, such as the theory of externalism (including probabilism and relativism) and part of the theory of internalism. "Direct realism" denies belief that a belief can be defended not only by another part of the faith, but also directly by the perception or memory of the non-belief.

PrefaceWriting this book is reminiscent of two roles. On the one hand, it is a textbook, an introduction to the theory of knowledge, its readers are those who have a mature sense, but not too much philosophical knowledge. We do not see any conflict between this and academic research, but we also note that some of the technical issues are not much related to the main content of this book. Occasionally, we may also place footnotes on issues and sources of interest that may be of interest to the more specialized readers. We hope that our write-up attitude will be useful to those who wish to do further research in epistemology.
